Janice Bremis, Founder

Janice is the founding member of the Eating Disorders Resource Center. She graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Liberal Arts, and has worked in fundraising within the healthcare community for most of her career. She was diagnosed with an eating disorder in 1975, and is well aware of the stigma associated with the disease, as well as the importance of emotional support and access to quality treatment. She is very passionate about advocating for people who have eating disorders and feels that this is her life. Read Janice's message.

Kristen Lohse, Program Manager

Kristen Lohse started at EDRC as a volunteer in January 2013, overseeing the annual Every Body's Beautiful Essay Contest, leading a support group, and helping with community outreach presentations. She now joins EDRC as a program manager, helping EDRC in their efforts related to recovery, awareness, education and advocacy. She is passionate about helping connect those struggling with the help and resources they deserve and need. Kristen is also a doctoral student in clinical psychology in the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium Program. She is involved in both research and clinical work in the area of eating disorders at Stanford.


Amia Nash, Administrative Assistant

Amia Nash is the Administrative Assistant at the Eating Disorders Resource Center. She is a Public Health major at Santa Clara University with a triple minor in Biology, Sociology, and Religious Studies. Additionally, Amia is a member of Santa Clara's Division I cross country and track programs and is a Senator for the university's Associated Student Government. Due to her personal experience with eating disorders, Amia understands the need for awareness and advocacy. At the EDRC, she is able to pursue her interest in health, non-profit organizations, and education.
