EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: BS in Nutritional Science and Clinical Dietetics from UC Berkeley Specialty training in Eating Disorder treatment form Social Service at UC Berkeley M.A. in management from University of Phoenix. For the last 8 years I worked in eating disorder treatment centers like New Dawn and La Ventana and I have been in private practice for the last 1.5 years. TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I believe in health at any size without the use of diets. I support my client's personal recovery process and work closely with the treatment team. I feel you can recover from an eating disorder. Recovery is a personal process that takes time. During the different stages of recovery clients will experience varying degrees of abilities to manage their symptoms and take care of their bodies and themselves. As recovery progresses the time intervals of confidence to navigate life without the eating disorder will become longer and the skills to cope with feelings will become more honed.
