EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: Bachelors of Science in Nutrition, Minor in Psychology from UC Davis Dietetic Internship and Masters of Arts in Nutrition from San Francisco State Univ. Registered Dietitian since October 2004. Training and work experience from Stanford University Hospital and Clinics, with intensive multidisplinary care for inpatient and outpatient a variety of mental health disorder patients, primarily eating disorders.

 

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I believe that every client exists as a separate being from their eating disorder and can live free from their eating disorder. I have has a non-diet approach and meets the client where they are at in their road to recovery. I individualize treatment, understanding well that not all disordered eating thoughts and behaviors are the same. I help the client understand the physiology that drives and maintains their eating disorder, making it difficult to stop the cycle. I work closely with the client to "re-wire" this physiology with a combination of nutrient replenishment and skill-set building to help clients make long-lasting changes. With my approach, clients feel empowered and confident in reaching their goals.
