EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I am a board certified pediatrician with sub-specialty training in adolescent medicine and almost 10 years of experience treating children and teens with eating disorders. For the past 7 years I have treated more than 50 unduplicated patients with eating disorders annually.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: (1) A treatment team where the members have similar philosophies and good communication is essential for optimal treatment. (2) Parents are not the cause of their child's eating disorder and need to be included as integral members of the treatment team. (3) Health at every size. I feel you can recover from an eating disorder and I define recovery as: Being able to maintain a well nourished healthy body while eating intuitively, free of eating disordered thoughts and rituals.
