TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: When treating children and adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa, I actively participate as part of the treatment team, collaborating with the treating physician, nutritionist, etc. i have had great success with the Maudsley Family Based Treatment, and I use this as a first-line approach. I am also skilled in CBT practices.
Yes, I believe that individuals can return to a more typical way of life without the burden of constant thoughts of food and calories. they may still have concerns about their body here and there, but their thoughts aren't dominated by food. They have developed healthy ways of coping with stress, and they have successfully met the developmental tasks of their age.
