CREDENTIALS/DISCIPLINE: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
Board Certified: No
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Number years treating patients with eating disorders: 10+ years
Number patients with eating disorders do you treated annually: 15+
EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychodynamic Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: Are you looking for a therapist who does more than just sit and listen? We work collaboratively to achieve your goals in therapy. I ask questions, pose alternatives, and make suggestions when appropriate. I think it is possible to recover from an eating disorder. The behaviors that characterize an eating disorder always exist within the person's repertoire. Recovery is the ability to use healthier behaviors instead of EDO behaviors, and if these is a slip, to be able to recover before a full relapse occurs.
