EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: All of our staff are licensed clinicians, specializing in the treatment of Eating Disorders. We possess a vast array of experience from Inpatient and Outpatient settings.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: The foundation of our treatment philosophy can be best expressed by the phrase, "Meet me where I’m at." This speaks to the collaborative stance of our treatment that we truly accept our clients for who they are where they are, and we work with them to get to where they want to be. We approach treatment with a spirit of teamwork, not just amongst the providers, but with the client as well. We use treatments that are tried and true, and that allow us to track our results. We also use treatment designed to help more than just the symptoms of the Eating Disorder, but to help the person in all aspects of their life. We strive to cultivate skills that clients can take with them even after they move on from our program.
Yes, I think it is possible to recover from an eating disorder and define recovery as: Recovery is not a destination, but a journey. Recovery exists on a spectrum and is not specific universal definition for recovery. A good indication of a person being far along in recovery is that their body is not actively compromised as a result of the eating disorder and that while eating disorder symptoms or thoughts may still be present, they do not control the person's actions or dictate how they live their life.
