CREDENTIALS/DISCIPLINE: We are an Eating Disorder Treatment Program that has both an Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment Program. We offer an afternoon and evening program for the IOP and both the IOP and the PHP programs are 6 days (with a minimum commitment of 3 days in the IOP's). We offer Free Support Groups to our patients as well as the community, and we offer Free Family and Loved One's Support Groups to the community on Saturdays as well. We also have a free housing component for our PHP patients. We have a sister branch in Thousand Oaks CA as well.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Number of years treating patients with eating disorders: 2-5 years
Number of patients with eating disorders treated annually: 15+
EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: Our staff includes expert clinicians who have extensive experience with working with ED patients. Our Clinical Director has a PhD in Clinical Psychology and has worked in the ED field for over 10 years. She is a member of the AED, IAED, NEDA and APA. Our Registered Dietitians collectively have 30 years experience in the ED field and are members of the ADA. Our staff also includes an established arts and healing RSMT, as well as licensed MFT who is also a member of the CAMFT and founder of www.CEUcinema.com. Similarly, we have a Psychological Assistant in pursuit of a PhD in Clinical Psychology who has completed her pre-doctoral internship at UC Davis Medical Center and has extensive training in the ED field as well as crisis intervention, and co-morbid medical and psychiatric conditions, also a member of the AED and APA.

We understand the nature of Eating Disorders and how devastating they can be for families and individuals struggling to recover. La Ventana is dedicated to the treatment of eating disorders and is passionate about our client’s success in our program. We help to integrate health meals and snacks into our client’s daily lives with the support of our professional staff. Clients are active participants in their recovery and our staff is determined to help our clients lean to work through their food and body weight fears.

Our hope is to aide our clients to feel free in one's body and have a positive relationship with food. We believe that it is possible for someone to let go of their feelings of fear and to grow and move forward from their eating disorder. Our mission is to have our clients feel a sense of fulfillment, in relationships, work or school, and other facets of life. At La Ventana, we believe that anyone is capable of recovery and we work with the individuals to help guide them into their own recovery.
